KEEWA workshop in Yogyakarta

Our story

From Yogyakarta, With Craft.

Since 2016 — a workshop, a last, and a stubborn belief that shoes should outlast trends.

Leather tools and materials in the KEEWA atelier
  1. 2016

Keewa mulai memproduksi sepatu kulit sebagai brand lokal Yogyakarta.

The first pairs were made for friends and family in a small rented room near the city centre — one last, one bench, two craftspeople.

  2. Craftsmanship

Dibangun dengan pengalaman teknis dalam industri alas kaki.

Years of working with Indonesian footwear production taught us where time should never be cut: leather selection, lasting, and finishing.

  3. Today

Mengembangkan sepatu kulit handmade untuk konsumen Indonesia dan pasar yang lebih luas.

KEEWA now serves customers across Indonesia and abroad, still cut, stitched and finished by the same hands in Yogyakarta.

Dari Kaki Sampai ke Hati

Dari kaki sampai ke hati.

Karena sepatu bukan hanya tentang bagaimana kita melangkah, tetapi juga tentang bagaimana kita membawa diri.

01 — Premium Leather

The Leather

“Every piece begins with carefully selected leather.”

We buy hides the way a cook buys produce — by hand, by season, by feel. Only the parts of the hide that meet our standard become a KEEWA upper, and every offcut that still has life in it goes into insoles, tabs and linings.

01Full Grain Leather
Natural character and durability. The strongest cut of the hide, kept intact so every grain, pore and mark stays visible.
02Softy Nappa
Soft and comfortable against the feet. A supple, lightly finished leather that flexes from the very first wear.
03Goat Leather Lining
Breathable and comfortable interior. Naturally breathable lining that wicks moisture and keeps the interior fresh all day.
